RSX measures the direction and efficiency of trending price action. RSX is much smoother than the classic RSI. We created two versions for NinjaTrader: the standard RSX and a "blend" version, where the user combines various amounts of two different RSX curves to create an indicator better tuned to your specific market.

STANDARD RSX -- the first sub-panel in the above chart shows an RSX oscillator (blue) and user defined threshold lines. The 2nd sub-panel shows changing background color, as a function of RSX value and trend. The user can apply NinjaTrader's color menu to select other background colors.

BLENDED RSX -- The first sub-panel in the above chart shows a blended RSX oscillator (blue) and a trailing moving average line. The blend was a mixture of two different RSX signals. The result is a very smooth plot with large dynamic range. The 2nd sub-panel shows changing background color, as a function of RSX trend and its relation to the trailing MA line. The user can apply NinjaTrader's color menu to select other background colors.
